No.3 Kirkwood men drilled by SCC

WEST BURLINGTON - What a difference three weeks can make in the life of a men's basketball team.

The third-ranked Kirkwood Eagles were plastered by Southeastern Community College, 95-66, Saturday night in West Burlington.

The 29-point shellacking came exactly 21 days after the Eagles spanked SCC, 72-63, in Cedar Rapids on Nov. 15.

Josh Ross popped in four 3-pointers and scored 22 points for the winners.

Hunter Rhodes led Kirkwood (9-2) with 16 points. Joe Tagarelli did not play for the Eagles due to a violation of team rules.

KIRKWOOD (66): Singleton 1 1-3 3, Lawton 2 0-0 6, Lassen 2 0-0 5, Rhodes 6 3-4 16, Weeks 0 5-6 5, Olson 3 2-2 8, Ashton 1 5-6 7, Cowser 2 0-0 5, Martin 2 3-4 9, Ukah 1 0-0 2. Totals 20 19-25 66.
