Herb’s 22 points lead Mount Mercy

Abby Herb had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead the Mount Mercy women’s basketball team in an 84-62 win over AIB on Saturday at the Hennessey Rec Center.

The Mustangs jumped out to a 10-2 lead and never trailed, improving their records to 12-11 overall and 3-2 in the Midwest Collegiate Conference.

Paige Last had 16 points for Mount Mercy. Danielle Herdliska and Alisa Weiland each had 12 points and Christa Oldham had 10 assits.

The Mustangs made thirteen 3-pointers. Weiland and Last had four apiece.

Gelina Webb scored 22 points for AIB (5-16, 0-6).

AIB (62): Hunter 3 2-2 8, Davis 2 0-0 4, Mack 1 0-2 2, Webb 7 4-4 22, Burkhartsmeier 4 2-2 12, Brye 0 1-2 1, Tookes 0 0-0 0, Cooper 1 4-4 7, Jones 2 0-0 4, Burdette 1 0-0 2. Totals 21 13-16 62.
