The Gustavo Caro family of Cedar Rapids was honored as the Tennis Family of the Year by the Iowa Tennis Association at its annual banquet Sunday at the Kirkwood Hotel.

Vale Caro and Magui Caro are star players for the girls tennis team at Prairie High School.

BJ and Heather Fleming of Robins were honored as the Adult Players of the Year. They won their second national title in the USTA Husband/Wife Mixed Doubles tournament in Kansas City this July.

Randy Krejci of Cedar Rapids received the President's Award. Phyllis Purcell of Cedar Rapids was honored for Community Service Excellence. Mark Fiala of Cedar Rapids was honored for Distinguished Service.
