Cedar Valley girls nipped by Sigourney

MARENGO – Candace Wilson scored 25 points and Molly Hembera added 19, but the Cedar Valley Christian girls basketball lost to Sigourney, 64-59, in a Class 1A regional quarterfinal game Tuesday.

Wilson had 10 rebounds and Maggie Cach grabbed nine rebounds for the Huskies, who finished 10-12.

Sierra Davis scored 29 points to lead Sigourney (14-9).

CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN (59): M.Slagle 0 0-0 0, E.Slagle 3 0-0 8, Masterson 0 0-0 0, Hembera 8 2-2 19, Fields 1 0-0 2, Cach 2 1-2 5, Wilson 10 3-4 25. Totals 24 6-8 59.
