Kirkwood freshman Izaya Fullard has been named a first team All-American by the NJCAA Division II selection committee.
Fullard, a corner infielder from Iowa City West, hit .470 this season with seven home runs and 76 RBIs in 60 games. He finished fourth in the country in RBIs and seventh in batting average.
Fullard helped Kirkwood compile a 42-17-1 record and make the junior college World Series for the first time in 19 years.
Fullard has committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes and is leaving Kirkwood after one season to play in the Big Ten.
