Mustang women lead Clarke golf

GALENA, Ill. - Casey Noble shot an 8-over-par 80 Saturday as the Mount Mercy women's golf team moved into first place at the Clarke Fall Invitational at the Eagle Ridge South course in Galena, Ill.

The final round is scheduled for Sunday.

Noble has a two-shot lead heading into Day 2. Allyson Wertz of Mount Mercy shot an 84 Saturday and is tied for fourth.

Mount Mercy owns a 14-shot lead over Saint Ambrose heading into the final 18 holes.

1. Mount Mercy 339, 2. Saint Ambrose 353, 3. (tie) Dubuque 355, Viterbo 355, 5. Wisconsin-Platteville 395, 6. Loras 403, 7. Clarke 410.
