Carly Walker and Maisey McCoy scored goals Saturday as the Mount Mercy women's soccer team blanked Evangel, 2-0, in a Heart of America Conference match at the Plaster Athletic Complex.

Walker scored in the 51st minute with an assist from Andrea Lopez for a 1-0 lead after a scoreless first half. McCoy tallied six minutes later on an assist from Jamie Hill.

Sarah Johnson made three saves for the shutout.

Mount Mercy raised its records to 7-5-2 overall and 4-4 in the conference. Evangel fell to 6-7-1 overall and 2-6 in the league.
