Mount Mercy women drop 4th straight

Mount Mercy fell behind by 19 points at halftime Monday night and lost  to Culver-Stockton, 73-58, in a Heart of America women's basketball  game at the Hennessey Recreation Center.

The Mustangs pulled within 10 points in the second half before falling  back again.

Mount Mercy lost its fourth straight game and fell to 3-4 overall and  0-3 in the conference.

Audrey Mulumba led the Mustangs with 19 points and seven rebounds.  Aurianna Hampton scored 12 points. Paris Sheck grabbed eight rebounds.

Payton Curley poured in 23 points for Culver-Stockton (3-4, 1-3).

CULVER-STOCKTON (73): Broadus 3 0-0 6, Harper 3 5-5 12, Dooley 2 3-3  7, Curley 9 1-2 23, Clark 5 0-0 11, McQueen 0 0-0 0, Guehne 0 0-0 0,  Lascelles 0 0-0 0, Sailor 4 0-0 8, Green 3 0-1 6, Neuner 0 0-0 0.  Totals 29 9-11 73.

MOUNT MERCY (58): Moffett 2 1-2 5, Kawakami 2 4-4 9, Thomas 3 0-0 8,  Sheck 0 1-2 1, Mulumba 8 1-1 19, Goodman 0 0-0 0, Hampton 4 46 12,  LeGrand 0 0-0 0, Brown 2 0-0 4. Totals 21 11-15 58.
