MANCHESTER - Marion had a trio of runners finish in the top seven and eked out a two-point win over Mount Vernon-Lisbon Tuesday at the West Delaware Invitational boys cross country meet.

Marion's Lukas Mees finished third in a time of 16 minutes, 42 seconds over the 5k course. Greg Sam was sixth in 17:27 and Cole Kuethe was seventh in 17:29. Peter Rethwisch was 21st and Isaac Smith 37th for the Indians.

Waverly-Shell Rock's Daniel Huff was the individual winner in a time of 15:42. Conner Smock of Lisbon-Mount Vernon was second in 16:24.

Western Dubuque finished third, Tipton fourth and West Delaware fifth. The 20-team meet featured nine teams from the Wamac Conference.
