Kirkwood men trimmed by Parkland

WEST BURLINGTON - The Kirkwood Eagles fell back to the .500 mark Saturday with a 64-59 loss to Parkland College at the Southeastern Community College Classic in West Burlington.

J.C. Fuller led Kirkwood (8-8) with 15 points. Taylor Olson and Devan Douglas scored 13 points apiece for the Eagles.

Olson, a freshman from Cedar Rapids Jefferson, hit three 3-pointers for the second straight game. He also hit three triples and scored a career-high 20 points Friday night in an 80-70 victory over Malcolm X College.

Lance Magee led Parkland (10-4) with 18 points.

KIRKWOOD (59): Hunter 1 0-0 2, Butler 1 0-0 3, Manego 0 2-2 2, Witt 1 0-2 2, Fuller 5 5-5 15, Heffernan 3 0-0 6, Olson 4 2-3 13, Douglas 3 7-8 13, Currie 1 1-1 3, Lang 0 0-0 0. Totals 19 17-21 59.
