The pairings were released Sunday for the Iowa High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Meet, which runs Wednesday-Saturday at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

All Metro teams are in Class 3A. The first round for that class starts Thursday at 9 a.m.

The first two girls in tournament history qualified for the state meet. Cassy Herkelman from Cedar Falls will wrestle Linn-Mar's Joel Northrup in the first round at 112. Megan Black of Ottumwa also qualified and is in the Class 3A field at 112 pounds.
