CLINTON, Miss. - The Kirkwood Eagles have drawn the No.3 seed for the NJCAA Division II national softball tournament this week in Clinton, Miss.

The Eagles (55-3) will face No.14 seed CCBC-Catonsville of Baltimore, Md. (38-9) in the opening round Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

LSU Eunice (57-5) is seeded No.1 for the 16-team tournament. Phoenix College (44-15) is seeded No.2.

If Kirkwood wins Wednesday, the Eagles will play Illinois Central or Kalamazoo Valley in the second round on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. If the Eagles lose their first game, they play Illinois Central or Kalamazoo Valley on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

The double-elimination tournament will continue at Traceway Park through Saturday.
