COUNCIL BLUFFS - Freshman Hanna Haynes scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds Friday as Kirkwood belted the Northwestern College junior varsity team, 91-58, in the opening round of the Iowa Western Classic.

Kirsten Larson popped in five 3-pointers and netted 17 points for the second-ranked Eagles (8-1). Danielle Woolfolk scored 14 points and Ariel Sneed had 12.

Kirkwood pounded Northwestern on the backboards, 57-23.

The Eagles will play the Concordia (Neb.) junior varsity team on Saturday at the tournament.
