WATERLOO - The Xavier Saints put on their hitting shoes Thursday and slammed Waterloo West, 16-3 and 12-0 in five innings, in a Mississippi Valley Conference doubleheader in Waterloo.

Adam Pick went 4-for-4 with a home and three RBIs in the opener. Colin O'Connell collected three hits. Bryce Grimm socked a triple and home run.

Grimm had a double, home run and three RBIs in the second game. O'Connell had three more hits, including a double. Zack Robinson went 3-for-4.

Nolan Even tossed a five-hit shutout in Game 2.
