The Minnesota Twins have promoted right-handed pitcher Alex Muren to the Fort Myers Miracle of the High-A Florida State League.

Brad Steil, Twins' Director of Minor League Operations, announced the move Tuesday.

Muren made 29 relief appearances for the Kernels this season, posting a 3-1 record, 2.89 ERA and one save. In 56 innings, he allowed 47 hits and 19 runs (18 earned) with eight walks and 44 strikeouts.

The Twins did not immediately announce a corresponding move. With Muren's promotion, the Kernels roster is at 24 active players, one short the Midwest League maximum of 25 active players, with five players currently on the disabled list. The Kernels open a road trip Wednesday night at Bowling Green.
