IOWA CITY - The seventh-ranked Kennedy girls swim team placed third in a strong field at the Iowa City Invitational Saturday at Mercer Pool.

The second-ranked Cedar Falls Tigers edged No.5 Ankeny, 398-388, for the title. Kennedy followed at 267.5 points.

Freshman MacKinzee Macho placed third in the 100 butterfly for the Cougars. Brooke Timmerman finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke. Kennedy also placed fourth in the 200 medley relay.
