BOONE - The top-ranked Kirkwood volleyball team was upset by Waubonsee, 25-22, 25-23, 25-15, at the DMACC tournament in Boone Friday.

The Eagles (24-3) topped Highland, 25-19, 25-13, 25-21, in their other match.

Halle Lueck collected 34 assists for Kirkwood against Waubonsee. Erin Wenzel had 11 kills, Heather Poula seven kills, Payton Hilton six kills and Megan Allmandinger six kills.

Lueck had 38 more assists against Highland. Wenzel had 10 kills and five blocks. Poula had 10 kills. Nicole Snyder had 14 digs.
