No.3 KCC women fall to 4-4

NORFOLK, Neb. - The third-ranked Kirkwood women's basketball teamĀ sputtered on the offensive end of the floor Saturday and lost to Northeast (Neb.), 56-46, in a junior college game.

Nobody from Kirkwood scored in double figures and the Eagles made only one 3-pointer. Cassidy Clark led Kirkwood with nine points. Anna Martensen had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles (4-4).

Brooke Bauer scored 13 points for Northeast (8-1).

Tyra Polite did not play for Kirkwood due to a sprained ankle.

KIRKWOOD (46): Sneed 3 0-0 6, Miles 0 0-0 0, Downs 0 2-2 2, Isaac 1 1-2 3, Silva 1 0-0 2, Sudduth 1 0-0 2, Larson 2 0-0 5, Hutchins 1 0-0 2, Martensen 4 0-0 8, Bockholt 0 2-2 2, Kallenberger 0 0-0 0, Clark 4 1-1 9, Wood 2 1-1 5. Totals 19 7-8 46.
