RoughRiders dumped by Madison, 5-2

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders fell behind 3-0 in the second period Thursday night and lost to Madison, 5-2, in a USHL game before 1,862 fans at the Cedar Rapids
Ice Arena.

Erik Foley scored both goals for the RoughRiders, giving him 12 goals for the season.

Cedar Rapids leads the Eastern Conference with a 20-5-0 record for 40 points. Madison raised its record to 11-8-4 for 26 points.

Ben Blacker was touched for three goals in 28:43 Thursday night. Ryan Larkin took his place in goal for the RoughRiders and allowed two goals in 31:17.

Cedar Rapids has an 8-4 record at home and a 12-1 record on the road.

The RoughRiders and Madison play a rematch in Madison (Wis.) Friday night.
