ORANGE, Calif. - The Coe women's basketball team went all the way to California to get a nice present for the holidays.

The Kohawks were locked in a 71-71 tie with Chapman University Saturday night when Chapman was spotted with six players on the floor and was called for a technical foul with 1.1 seconds left in the game.

Mickey Hansche made both free throws on the technical foul to gift-wrap a 73-71 victory for the Kohawks.

Hansche and Aleena Hobbs scored 16 points apiece for Coe (6-4). Hansche hit four 3-pointers and Hobbs grabbed seven rebounds.
