The surging Mount Mercy men's basketball team climbed two spots to 16th in the new NAIA Division II rankings Tuesday.

The Mustangs have won eight straight games, raising their records to 15-3 overall and 3-0 in the Midwest Collegiate Conference. The Mustangs have not lost since falling to ninth-ranked Midland (Neb.) on Nov. 29.

Indiana Wesleyan (19-1) is ranked No. 1 in the poll.

Mount Mercy hosts St. Ambrose Wednesday at 7:30 in the Hennessey Recreation Center.
