The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have traded Joey Marooney to the Green Bay Gamblers for Joe Wegwerth.

The RoughRiders also surrendered three draft picks to Green Bay in the deal.

Wegwerth was selected in the fourth round of the NFL draft last summer by the Florida Panthers. He has committed to play college hockey at Notre Dame.

Wegwerth had five goals and 16 assists in 35 games for the Gamblers. The RoughRiders acquired Marooney in a trade with Sioux Falls earlier this season. He had two assists in 12 games with Cedar Rapids.
