No. 11 Eagles belt 9 more home runs

ROCHESTER, Minn. - The Kirkwood softball team socked nine home runs Friday and cruised to a pair of easy victories in Rochester, Minn.

The 11th-ranked Eagles cruised past St. Cloud Tech, 15-0, and blanked Ridgewater, 11-0.

Lexie Biehl, Brooke Prior and Alicia Crivaro hit two home runs in the twinbill. Natalie Clark, Riley Ogden and Lexi Quandt also cleared the bases for Kirkwood.

The Eagles (17-5) have hit 21 home runs in their last four games. They belted 12 homers in a sweep of Ellsworth Sunday and now have 52 homers in 22 games.

Allie Mengler pitched a one-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts against St. Cloud Tech. Jasmine Ragusi was 3-for-4 and Chasney Jenkins was 2-for-3. Ragusi and Jenkins had two RBIs.

Hannah Cole tossed four shutout innings against Ridgewater. She allowed only two hits and had eight strikeouts. Biehl and Prior had three RBIs against Minnesota West.

Biehl has hit 10 home runs this season for the powerful Eagles and Prior has eight homers
