PDF

Connor Alberhasky pitched the third no-hitter in school history Saturday as Coe blanked Loras, 7-0, in the first game of an Iowa Conference doubleheader at Daniels Park.

Coe also won the second game, 9-5.

Alberhasky, from Iowa City, struck out five batters and walked only one man during his seven-inning masterpiece. He threw just 60 pitches in the efficient ballgame, including 42 for strikes.

Alberhasky joined Shane Staker (1997) and Dave Drahn (1985) with no-hitters for Coe. It was the first no-hitter in the Iowa Conference since 2011.

Michael Goerdt and AJ Reuter had two hits for the Kohawks in the first game. Grant Henning socked a home run, drove in two runs and scored two runs. Cole Tomlinson also scored twice.

Henning hit another home run went 2-for-4 and drove in four runs for the Kohawks in the 9-5 victory in the nightcap. Goerdt also hit a home run and was 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Reuter went 3-for-5 and scored twice. Tomlinson scored two runs again. Cal Kragenbrink picked up the victory with two scoreless innings in relief.

Craig Konrardy joined the 100-hit club for the Kohawks.
