ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Maliah Fligg tossed a three-hitter as the Coe softball team defeated Ripon College, 7-1, in its first game at the Augustana Invitational on Saturday.

The Kohawks lost their second game to Augustana, 6-2.

Fligg (4-3) pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts and no walks. The only run against her was unearned.

Fligg drove in two runs to help her own cause. Anna Corkery also had two RBIs for the Kohawks in their victory and Erin Lang scored two runs.

Paige Zahner had two hits for Coe against Augustana.

The split left Coe with a 12-6 record. Augustana is 14-3-1 and Ripon is 3-11.
