MASON CITY - Carson Whittington fired a 1-under-par 71 Thursday to help the Kirkwood Eagles claim top honors at the NIACC Invitational at the Mason City Country Club.

Dan Cutkomp tied for fourth for Kirkwood with a 1-over 73. Blaine Buhr shot 76, Dylan Daxon had a 77 and Eddie Doyle finished with a 79.

Kirkwood submitted a four-man score of 297 to win the title by three strokes over Waldorf. The Kirkwood 'B' team tied for third at 309 with Drew Digman shooting a 2-over 74.
