DUBUQUE - After dropping a heartbreaker in the opener, Coe fought back to down Dubuque, 10-3, in the nightcap of an Iowa Conference doubleheader Monday at the UD Baseball Field.

Michael Goerdt's 3-run homer keyed a seven-run seventh for the Kohawks (25-12, 17-11 IIAC). Jory Heckenberg had four hits and four RBIs. Andrew Brierton had three hits while AJ Reuter and Grant Henning had two each.

Ben Jacobson went the full nine innings for the win, striking out nine and allowing just two earned runs.

Dubuque won the game in the bottom of the seventh on a sacrifice fly. Reuter had two of Coe's four hits. Connor Alberhasky was the tough-luck loser, allowing four runs on seven hits.
