The Kirkwood volleyball team split two matches Saturday at Champaign, Ill., losing to Southwest Illinois 3-2 and beating Lincoln Land 3-2.

The Eagles (16-6) started the day with a 19-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-23, 15-13 loss to Southwest Illinois.

Erin Wenzel had 18 kills and 11 digs for Kirkwood, Morgan Grimm had 10 kills and 16 digs, Madsey Richards had 10 digs, and Halle Lueck had 35 assists.

Kirkwood came back to beat Lincoln Land 25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 13-25, 16-14.

Wenzel had 18 kills and 20 digs, Richards had 13 kills, Grimm had 10 kills and 31 digs, and Lueck had 42 assists.
