MASON CITY - Erin Wenzel and Halle Lueck had big nights Wednesday as the 11th-ranked Kirkwood volleyball team rallied to trim NIACC, 25-22, 18-25, 21-25, 25-17, 15-12, in a conference volleyball match in Mason City.

Wenzel collected 25 kills in the five-set thriller and Lueck finished with 50 assists.

Madsy Richards and Morgan Grimm had 11 kills for the Eagles and Alex Miner had seven. Grimm led Kirkwood with 18 digs. Jenna Laxton had 17 digs and Richards had 15.

Kirkwood raised its record to 17-6.
