Gorman, Eck pace Warriors in Clinton

Reagan Gorman and Samuel Eck enjoyed good outings for the Cedar RapidsĀ Washington cross country teams Saturday at the Clinton Invitational.

Gorman finished fourth in the girls 5K race in 19 minutes, 4.8 seconds. Eck placed fifth in the boys 5K race in 16:47.4.

The Washington girls finished 11th and last in their event. The Xavier girls finished eighth in the standings behind an 11th-place showing by Jenny Dickes.

The Washington boys finished fourth out of 10 teams.
