CVC boys fall short at GMG

GARWIN – The Cedar Valley Christian boys once again kept the score close, trailing just 29-28 at halftime, but lost to GMG 53-39 Thursday on the road.

Travis Geels had 11 points and 13 rebounds for CVC (1-5). Mike Scroggs and Kelvin Ridder each scored eight points. Ridder added two blocks and Michael Johnson had seven points and seven assists.

Jacob Burt had 24 points for Garwin (2-4).

CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN (39): Crittenden 0 0-0 0, Telecky 0 0-0 0, K.Gustafson 2 0-0 5, Scroggs 4 0-4 8, Geels 5 0-0 11, Joyce 0 0-0 0, Foote 0 0-0 0, Johnson 2 1-2 7, Ridder 3 1-2 8. Totals 16 2-8 39.
