The eighth-ranked Kirkwood volleyball team finished with a 4-0 record in its own tournament at Johnson Hall this weekend.

The Eagles swept Johnson County, 25-23, 27-25, 25-21, in a tight match Saturday and also swept McHenry, 25-22, 25-22, 25-15.

Kirkwood also won both of its matches Friday and has a 13-2 record this season.

Madsy Richards led the Eagles with nine kills against Johnson County. Alex Miner had nine kills, Morgan Grimm had seven, Erica Armstrong six and Riley Longden six in a balanced attack.

Caiti Peterson contributed 34 assists against Johnson County. Jenna Laxton had 20 digs.

Richards collected 12 kills against McHenry. Miner had 10 slams, Grimm had six and Armstrong five. Peterson furnished 31 assists and had 11 digs.
