Kirkwood golfers finish 7th in KC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kirkwood men's golf team enjoyed a much better day in the second round of the Park University Fall Classic on Tuesday, but the Eagles paid a price for their poor showing on Monday and finished in seventh place.

Kirkwood fired a team score of 300 Tuesday after struggling with a 344 on Monday. Jordan Even shot a 1-over-par 73 to lead the Eagles on Tuesday after shooting an 87 on Monday at The National Golf Club of Kansas City.

Charles Hartwig tied for sixth place for Kirkwood with rounds of 80 and 75 for a 155 total.

Sterling College won the title at 611. Kirkwood finished at 644.

KIRKWOOD: 6th - Charles Hartwig 80-75=155, 24th - Jordan Even 87-73=160, 53rd - Louis Flynn 91-77=168, 58th - JD Goodfellow 86-84=170, 62nd - Max Thrune 97-75=172.
