Madsy Richards of Kirkwood has been named a first team All-American by  the NJCAA Division II volleyball committee.

Richards, a Xavier grad, led Kirkwood with 426 kills and 54 aces this  season. She also ranked fourth on the squad with 374 digs.

Richards, a sophomore, was named the ICCAC conference player of the  year and helped the Eagles finish seventh at the national tournament.

Alex Miner, a sophomore from Gilbert, received Honorable Mention on  the All-America team. Miner finished with 148 blocks and 360 kills for  Kirkwood.
