FULTON, Mo. - The Kirkwood men's golf team placed seventh in the William Woods Invitational Tuesday at Tanglewood Golf Course.

William Woods won the team title at 6-under-par 282. Mount Mercy finished second out of 14 teams at 3-under 285. Kirkwood finished 12 shots behind the winners at 294.

Chad Nitz of Mount Mercy placed third in the individual standings at 5-under 139 with rounds of 69 and 70.

Jordan Even of Kirkwood tied for 12th at even-par 144. Louis Flynn tied for 15th at 1-over 145 for the Eagles. Charles Hartwig tied for 32nd at 5-over 149 and JD Goodfellow tied for 37th at 7-over 151.

The entire 36-hole tournament was held Tuesday. Monday's opening round was postponed by rain.
