Mount Mercy women boot Vikings

Jamie Hill and Payton Pottratz scored goals during a two-minute flurry in the second half Tuesday night to help the Mount Mercy women's soccer team trim Grand View, 2-1, in a Heart of America match at the Plaster Athletic Complex.

Hill scored an unassisted goal in the 67th minute to tie the match, 1-1. Pottratz tallied in the 69th minute with an assist from Olivia Ramsey for a 2-1 lead that proved to be the game-winner.

Sarah Johnson played the entire 90 minutes in goal for Mount Mercy and made an important save.

The Mustangs raised their records to 3-1-2 overall and 1-0 in the Heart of America Conference. Grand View fell to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the league in the conference opener.
