No. 4 Nazarene rolls by Mustangs

A long season for the Mount Mercy women's basketball team got a little  longer Saturday afternoon.

The Mustangs lost to fourth-ranked MidAmerica Nazarene, 81-48, in a  Heart of America Conference game at the Hennessey Recreation Center.

Mount Mercy shot only 21.7 perfect from the field (15 of 69). The  Mustangs fell to 5-17 overall and 1-15 in the conference.

MidAmerica Nazarene built a 41-point lead in the fourth quarter. The  Pioneers raised their records to 18-3 overall and 15-2 in the  conference.

Aaliyah Brown scored 10 points for Mount Mercy. Audrey Mulumba had  eight points and 12 rebounds.

Kechelle Figueroa and Anna Roulston scored 18 points apiece for the winners.

MIDAMERICA NAZARENE (81): Moia 5 0-2 10, Jovovic 6 0-0 16, Figueroa 6  2-2 18, Gooch 2 0-2 5, Oliver 2 0-0 6, Sheldon 0 4-6 4, Wagler 0 0-0  0, Roulston 6 6-7 18, Veselkova 0 0-0 0, Wilson 0 0-0 0, Ervin 1 2-2  4. Totals 28 14-21 81.

MOUNT MERCY (48): Brown 3 3-3 10, Goodman 1 0-0 2, Blowers 3 2-2 9,  Lampe 2 1-2 7, Mulumba 2 4-4 8, Kawakami 2 0-0 5, Kitterman 1 0-0 2,  Cabalis 0 0-0 0, Wahls 0 0-2 0, Sheck 1 0-0 2, LeGrand 0 3-4 3. Totals  15 13-17 48.
