MASON CITY - The 14th-ranked Kirkwood women's volleyball team lost to NIACC, 25-17, 25-23, 19-25, 25-23, in an ICCAC conference match in Mason City Wednesday night.

The setback dropped the Eagles to 17-8 overall and 2-3 in the conference. NIACC, which is not ranked, raised its records to 17-5 overall and 4-1 in the league.

Abbie Ericson led Kirkwood with 12 kills and Anna Gorsich had 10. Madi Wagaman collected 26 assists.

Maranda Wheelock made 33 digs, Aubrin Dittmer 18, Gorsich 16 and Wagaman 10. Taylor Carey blocked seven shots.
