No. 19 Eagles split two matches

FORT DODGE - The Kirkwood women's volleyball team split its two  matches at the Triton Invitational in Fort Dodge Friday.

The 19th-ranked Eagles were trimmed by Carl Sandburg in their first  match, 17-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-17, 15-11, despite taking a 2-1 lead in  the first three sets.

Kirkwood bounced back by sweeping St. Louis, 25-20, 25-23, 25-19.

The split left the Eagles at 20-10 overall for the campaign.

Aubrin Dittmer led Kirkwood with 13 kills against Carl Sandburg. Anna  Gorsich had 12 kills and 13 digs. Madi Wagaman collected 25 assists  and Rachael Nelson had 16. Maranda Wheelock contributed 12 digs.  Taylor Carey blocked seven shots.

Dittmer had 10 kills against St. Louis. Wagaman distributed 17 assists  and Nelson had 12. Carey blocked six shots.
