DAVENPORT - Madelyn Irwin pitched a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts  Sunday as the Mount Mercy women's softball team blanked Lincoln  College, 8-0, at the Ambrose Dome in Davenport.

The Mustangs also blanked Stephens College, 21-0, Sunday behind a  six-hitter by Jayna Witzany.

Jade Sharp had two hits and two RBIs in the victory over Lincoln.  Morgan Braughton had two hits and Jess Heick scored two runs.

Braughton and Jaicee Lyons were 3-for-3 in the romp against Stephens.  Ariana Arceneaux, Heick, Makenna Moenck, Audrey Grove, Alexis Berry  and Makenna Bonewitz had two hits. Braughton scored three runs. Heick  had three RBIs. Michelle Mack, Braughton, Arceneaux, Moenk and Grove  had two RBIs.

Mount Mercy raised its record to 5-3.
