Jordan Holmes scored four goals Saturday morning and fifth-ranked Kennedy outed Waterloo East, 10-0, in a girls soccer game at Kennedy.
Hannah Palomo and Kaela Dickerman had two goals apiece. Alyssa Drewelow and Mac Dickerman also scored goals.
The Cougars could have used a couple of those goals in their second game. They were upset by No. 8 Linn-Mar, 1-0.
Linn-Mar's Olivia Garcia scored early in the game and goal held up for the win.
Kennedy is 9-3 overall, 8-3 in the MVC. Linn-Mar, which lost 2-1 earlier in the day at Xavier, is 10-2, 10-1.
