Geels leads CVC in loss to Midland

WYOMING – Travis Geels scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds, but the Cedar Valley Christian boys basketball team lost, 62-38, to Midland in a Tri-Rivers Conference game Friday at Midland.

Kelvin Ridder had 10 rebounds for the Huskies (1-15, 0-8).

Connor Harms scored 17 points for the Eagles (7-11, 3-5).

Hembera nets double-double for Huskies

SPRINGVILLE – Molly Hembera scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Cedar Valley Christian girls basketball team in a 72-41 loss to Calamus-Wheatland in a Tri-Rivers Conference game Tuesday.

Candace Wilson added 13 points for the Huskies (5-10).

Jaelyn Diercks scored 16 points for the Warriors (7-11).

CVC boys fall to Cal-Wheatland

SPRINGVILLE – Kelvin Ridder scored 13 points and Kyle Gustafson added 12, but the Cedar Valley Christian boys basketball team suffered an 89-50 loss to Calamus-Wheatland in a Tri-Rivers Conference game Tuesday.

Gustafson made four 3-pointers for the Huskies (1-14).

Cole Moeller had 21 points and Garrett Rickels added 19 for Calamus-Wheatland (8-9).

Maggie Cach added 12 points for the Huskies (5-10).

Madison Trile led the Wildcats with 16 points.
