CEDAR FALLS - Cedar Rapids Kennedy graduate Tyler Sievertsen is getting his kicks at the University of Northern Iowa.

Sievertsen booted three fields and two PATs during UNI's 23-9 victory over Indiana State Saturday and has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

He also won the award for his performance against Iowa State this season.

Sievertsen, a redshirt sophomore, kicked field goals of 48, 37 and 21 yards against Indiana State and is 8-for-9 this season. He's 18-for-18 on PATs and has scored 42 points.
