WEST DES MOINES - The third-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy boys soccer team won two games Saturday at the West Des Moines Valley tournament.

The Cougars beat Class 2A No. 8 Norwalk, 1-0, in a shootout on penalty kicks in their first game. The score was tied, 0-0, after regulation. Kennedy won on penalty kicks, 8-7.

The Cougars (6-1) topped unranked Pleasant Valley, 4-1, in their other game. Garet Christianson collected two goals for Kennedy with Gabe Christianson and Brigham Stewart netting one apiece.

Gabe Christianson had three assists against Pleasant Valley. Garet Christianson, Shane Glenn, Alex Busbee and Trask White had one assist apiece.

Kennedy lost to top-ranked West Des Moines Valley, 2-1, in the tournament on Friday.
