IOWA CITY -- No. 4 Kennedy ran into a buzzsaw Saturday, dropping games to No. 9 Iowa City West and No. 6 Iowa City High in boys soccer.

Gabe Christianson scored goals in each game, but that was all the scoring the Cougars (7-3, 4-2 MVC) could muster.

West (6-4, 5-2) scored a pair of second-half goals to break away from a 1-1 halftime tie and beat the Cougars, 3-1.

City High (8-2, 6-1) scored a pair of first-half goals that held up for a 2-1 win.
