WEST DES MOINES -- Tory Harman's goal off an assist from Hannah Palomo was the only goal of Friday's game and lifted No. 8 Kennedy past No. 2 West Des Moines Valley, 1-0, in a girls soccer game.

Kennedy (12-2) won its fifth straight game and second in as many nights. The Cougars beat No. 5 Washington, 2-0, Thursday night.

Kennedy plays No. 6 Johnston Saturday morning at Valley.
