JESUP - Kennedy lost a nonconference softball game to Waterloo East at the Jesup tournament, 6-2, Friday.

Tyalor Wagner hit a home run for Kennedy (2-5). Heather McKinnon and Amanda Gaffey had doubles.

Alyson Netty scattered five hits and struck out 15 Cougars on the mound for East (6-3). She also hit a home run. Kesley Rash had three doubles.

Taylor Sohn took the loss for the Cougars.
