DUBUQUE - Amanda Gaffey drove in Lauren Kubovec with a two-out double Tuesday night as Kennedy clipped Dubuque Wahlert, 5-4, in extra innings in the first game of a Mississippi Valley Conference doubleheader in Dubuque.

Wahlert won the second game, 10-1.

Kubovec led off the inning with a single and advanced to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Erin Coker. Gaffey then delivered the game-winning hit.

Taylor Wagner hit a three-run homer for Kennedy (2-6, 2-8) in the second inning of the opener. Taylor Sohn pitched for the Cougars in Game 1.
