Kennedy succumbed to Iowa City West in the morning, but bounced back to whip City High in the afternoon Saturday in Mississippi Valley Conference boys tennis.

The Cougars were beaten by West, 9-0, then whipped City High, 7-2.

West has two sophomores and four freshmen in its lineup, but the Trojans lost only one set to the Cougars.

Kennedy won five of six singles matches against City High.
