The Cedar Rapids Kennedy girls tennis team split a pair of Mississippi Valley Conference meets with teams from Iowa City on Saturday.

The Cougars began the day with a 7-2 victory over Iowa City High at the Kennedy courts, then finished the day with a 6-3 loss to Iowa City West.

Alexa Mitchell won both of her matches at No.4 singles for Kennedy.
